The STrIPES group (Speciality Trainers Involved in Paediatric Education & Simulation) was created to allow collaboration, development of education programmes and dissemination of innovation throughout Wessex. It is a group that welcomes anyone with an interest in developing skills in delivering paediatric education and simulation, regardless of previous experience.
We also aim to be a source of training and information for non-paediatric practitioners. This site will be a resource of useful information for anyone interested in learning more about paediatric practice and for booking faculty to teach on courses. Please click the Contact tab to book STrIPES for one of our existing teaching sessions or to see how we could help with any potential educational opportunities you are organising.
The group is supported by James Edelman (PHDU Consultant) and Kim Sykes (PICU Consultant), and by the Paediatric Innovation, Education and Research Network (PIER). STrIPES was set up by trainees at various stages of their paediatric careers who all share a passion for creativity and learning from collective experiences. We want to create an open forum where everyone is welcome and where everyone will be supported and nurtured.
