★ Sleep For Health in Hospital (SHH) is a multimodal programme designed to help children, young people and their carers have the best possible night’s sleep in hospital. The programme promotes a culture that respects sleep alongside safe care and is adaptable across a children ward area
★ Reducing noise at night is an NHS quality indicator. Hospitals are notoriously poor sleep environments and many fail to monitor this or address this common source of complaint
★ SHH was developed by sleep specialists at Southampton Children’s Hospital and is based on research and extensive family and staff consultation
