Modular Sleep Training Course for Professionals

With over a decade of experience in teaching professionals about sleep and its disorders in children we have responded to demand by introducing a new modular online learning programme. This offers a number of advantages:

We deliver material in a way that is engaging, friendly and interactive. All of our trainers are NHS professional who daily ‘walk the talk’ and are enthusiastic to share their extensive knowledge and experience. Course material includes a rich set of filmed case study material throughout.

Modular Sleep Training Course - Hot Topics - Chronic Insomnia in Children

Back by popular demand, we are running the sleep update day on Chronic Insomnia in Children.

Modular Sleep Training Course - Sleep Basics for Everyday Practice

We are very pleased to offer a new, short introductory course, which provides sleep basics for everyday practice. The course is tailored towards professionals that work in the field of Health Visiting and School Nursing, Portage, Social Care and other community based specialities.

Date - Monday 16th September 2024
Time - 0900-1700hrs
Location - Virtual (via Zoom)
Cost - £150 per person (group discounts are available for groups over 10 people)

This one day training will run as a live, online event and will include presentations on
  • Family perspectives of living with sleep problems, including sleep and culture
  • The science of sleep and why it is important in childhood
  • The fundamentals of good sleep habits
  • Basic management strategies of chronic insomnia
  • Awareness of common sleep disorders
  • Case studies and group exercises 
Following completion of this one day course, if you have gained an appetite to know more about sleep, you may wish to book onto our modular programme. You would receive a discounted rate of £75 to attend Core Module 1.

Sleep for Health in Hospital (SHH Programme)

The SHH training workshops will give you with the knowledge and tools to integrate the SHH programme in your hospital and join the growing SHH community.
This year, there is an option for individuals to pay for the first two hours which consists of an introduction to the programme as well a the importance of promoting a culture that respects sleep alongside safe care and is adaptable across a children ward area. The two types of tickets are:
Sleep in Hospital for Health Introduction
  • Hear about the latest international research on sleep in the hospital environment
  • What is the impact on children and their recovery from illness as well as their families when sleep is not optimised?

Sleep in Hospital for Health Full Programme
  • In addition to the SHH Introduction, you will learn how to implement and measure the SHH programme in your hospital, attendees with also be provided with the course resources.
