A one day course covering the essential sleep disorders seen in everyday paediatric practice using case based examples. The course aims to be a practical ‘go to’ resource to general paediatricians and trainees.

Course aims and learning outcomes This course aims to give you a basic understanding and confidence to manage common sleep disorders with an ability to recognise rarer sleep disorders requiring specialist review.
By the end of this course you will be able to:
Understand the basics of sleep physiology
Make a clinical diagnosis of, and learn how to manage:
Behavioural insomnia
Non REM parasomnias (and differentiate from nocturnal epilepsy)
Make a clinical diagnosis of, and understand treatment approaches to:
Sleep disordered breathing
Circadian rhythm disorders
Rhythmic movement disorder
Narcolepsy
Understand the role of medication in sleep management
On successful completion of the course you will receive PIER certification.

Breakfast, lunch and refreshments are included. Parking is not included, however there are good public transport links, local car parks and a park and ride service.
Cancellation policy You will be liable for 50% of the course cost if cancellation is made six or more weeks prior to the commencement of the course, and 100% of the cost if cancellation is made less than six weeks prior to the course commencement.
