Regional Neuroscience Course - Foundation Level
This Foundation Level Module Supported by the NHS South Paediatric Neuroscience Operational Delivery Network focuses on the knowledge and skills required by Nurses and AHP’s who are caring for children with a Neuroscience diagnosis in a variety of Care settings including district general hospitals and tertiary neuroscience centres. The Module develops knowledge around Physiology and Anatomy of the Central Nervous System and its application to safe and effective Nursing care and interventions. The content will include:

- The assessment of children presenting with a Neurological emergency and their immediate management
- The continuing management of evidence based nursing care for children diagnosed with a range of Neuroscience conditions
- The multi-professional team approach required for the care of children and their families with a Neuroscience diagnosis
