Welcome to the Wessex Children's and Young Adults' Palliative Care Network
We are a group set up in 2020 to represent and support the workforce in Wessex providing palliative and end of life care for children and young adults with life limiting conditions and their families/carers. We are a multi-professional group with involvement across health, education, social care and spanning statutory, independent and voluntary sectors. Our network comprises a steering group of sector leaders whose role it is to advocate for the sector and work alongside patients and carers to develop an overarching strategy to support the delivery of palliative and end of life care across the region, and a clinical network open to all stakeholders who work with this group of young people. The clinical network provides education, discussion, support, and populates ‘task and finish’ groups that tackle the key priorities for this amazing group of children and young adults.
