Behavioural Insomnia Training Day This one day course is designed for community practitioners to support and develop your skills and knowledge in managing common childhood sleep problems. The day will also provide an opportunity to meet and share ideas with other professionals. The course is open to any person working for a statutory, charity or voluntary organisation.
Who the course is suitable for? Any clinician or practitioner, who is currently working with families with sleep problems in a community setting.
Course aim and learning outcomes This course aims to help you understand:
The basic physiology of sleep
The management of common childhood sleep disorders and when to seek specialist support.
By the end of this course you should be able to:
In partnership with parents, create and supervise the implementation of a sleep management programme addressing behavioural insomnia
know when a child with a sleep disorder should be referred to a specialist sleep service

Course fee and cancellation policy £95 per person, which includes lunch and refreshments.
Applicants will be liable for 50% of the course cost if cancellation is made six or more weeks prior to the course start date, and 100% of the cost if cancellation is made less than six weeks prior to the course start date.
