We have arranged our courses into a series of three one-day courses together forming a series of modules. THe core emphasis in this course is to offer as much hands-on echo experience as possible in an affordable package for those wanting to either take their first steps in, or strengthen their echocardiographic skills. Our focus on these courses is for the acquisition of the core practical skills and knowledge required to perform basic paediatric echocardiography competently.
This first module focusses on normal cardiac anatomy, use of the equipment, and acquisition of the basic echocardiographic views. Half the day is set aside for practical experience, using our echo simulator and on scanning children with known normal and abnormal hearts.
